Blade & Shade

Blade & Shade, also known as combo brows or hybrid brows is an incredible option for achieving optimal dimension throughout the natural brow.
Using a disposable micro-blading tool we create the finest of hair strokes which replicate your natural brow hairs.
We then go throughout the initial pass of manual hair strokes and add dimension by pixelating dusts or pigment throughout which creates a lovely 3-D effect.

This technique is good for all skin types.

J Brow

J Brow is a combination of hair strokes throughout the frontal zones of the eyebrow and then a more pixelated (ombré style ) midsection throughout tail.
This look is great for clients that want more fluff at the front but still want to achieve that ombré effect throughout the tail.

This technique heals in beautifully!

Ombré Brows

The Ombre Brow technique is great for all skin types. Ombré brows tend to look the most like a powered makeup brow as they are solid throughout the mid section and tail but lighten at the fronts of the brow - which is how it got its name.

Micro-Blading

Micro-Blading consists of using a micro blade to create a full brow of all hair strokes throughout the natural brow area.
Also known as feather stroke brows.

This techniques replicates natural brow hairs and can look very natural, especially if the client has natural brow hair present.

Straight Microblading is not suggest for clients with oily or very dry skin types.

1. Consultation

All Beauty bar technicians will complete a thorough consultation at the beginning of your appointment. We are sure to gather as much information as possible (likes & dislikes) to establish exactly what look you’re hoping to achieve.

2. Brow Design

Jenni takes her time with each and every client. After your consultation she will have a more specific vision as to what your dream brows consist of.
Using her string mapping method, Jenni will create the outline of the brow shape which is very specific to your facial features.
A brow stencil is never used, as each individuals facial features are unique to their face.

3. Client approval

It’s time to live in your brows! Once the mapping and drawing of your brows are complete, you will have plenty of time to walk around the studio and get comfortable with your new brows.
This part is extremely important to Jenni as she needs to make sure you LOVE your new shape before she will begin.

4. Colour Selection

Every clients skin as well as undertone is really very different. ( oily, combination, normal or dry + Fitzpatrick)
Each pigment selection is custom to our individual clients needs.
We try not to base the brow colour off of your hair on your head ( as that can change) but rather the natural brow hair as well as your specific skin tone.
We have an extremely wide range of pigments to chose from!

5. Brow Outline

 The agreed-upon shape is then outlined with a white surgical marker.
Even dots are arrayed around the shape create with our wax pencil.
This outline becomes our new perimeter which we must stay within. ( our foundation)

6. Begin Procedure

During the procedure a topical numbing is applied to keep our clients as comfortable as possible. Most of our clients find the procedure pain free and often compare it to a 3/10 at the worst.

7. Reveal

Once Jenni is finished with your new brows she will reveal them to you while laying back with a hand held Mirror.
Then you will he asked to check them out from a standing position to make sure that you are fully satisfied.

You will be asked to wash them gently 2x a day with a gentle cleanser. ( baby shampoo)
For the first 24 hrs you will pat them with a Kleenex to remove any access lymph that could accumulate and turn into a raised scab.
Depending on your skin type, Jenni will advice you on how to use your topical aftercare balm on a daily basis.

Normal and combination- 2-3x a day
Oily - 1-2x max per day

It is very important to find a healthy balance between being not too saturated with the balm and not too dry at the same time.

No picking, no scrubbing, no retinol screams, no sun, hot tubs, no pools, no saunas for 2 weeks.
(Some of these should be avoided when possible after the two weeks as well.)

No make up on or around the area.

4-8 week Touch up- A perfection appointment is highly suggested to ensure that the pigment has taken within the dermal layer. Virgin skin can often times take 1-2 sessions for the pigment to retain 12-24 months.

Annual Colour Boost - I typically advise my clients that after their Initial session and perfection they should not book an annual touch up for 12-18 months.
The reason for this is that the skin is very thin around the brow area and the pigment could pool and migrate if too much is applied in one area at a time.
Treating the skin with PMU too often can also cause scarring. For these reasons I feel that it’s always best for your PMU to fade 50% before having them touched up.
